Make a list of questions that come up for you as you do this research.

Print up a list of 4-6 web sites you really like. Also choose 2-3 that you really don't like.

Collect photographs or objects you want to photograph with a digital camera, to place on your web site.

What kind of lettering do you like?
What backgrounds do you like?
How important is speed in downloading? How important is it that your browser not choke on the page?

Your System.
What kind of computer do you have? What is the processor speed? How much RAM (random access memory) do you have? What is your operating system and it's version?

What type of monitor do you have and what is your display set at?

How do you access the internet, via a dial up modem, cable or other broadband access such as DSL?
What browser do you use? What version is your browser? In your home, do you have more than one computer? What browsers are in use?
What is the name of your internet service provider (ISP) for example, Sonic.net, AOL.com, monitor.net, earthlink, neteze, Sonoma Web Hosting? What is the URL (universal resource locator or the web address) of your service provider?
How much does your ISP charge you to have your own web page?
How important is a web address to you? How important is the title of the page?

Place any text you wish to have on your site onto a CD to bring with you, or make arrangements to email the text to me prior to the class so you may have it on hand to place on your web site.
